I hired Jay to stain my house and paint the trim. He was fast, neat, and careful with plants in the flowerbeds. After that I asked him to sand the hardwood flores in my home. He had to work around a 55 gallon fish tank, a cat and a dog that wanted to help every step of the way. Everything came out perfect. No question, I would hire Jay again.

What a pleasure it was to hire John Brzoza. Before he started the work we wanted him to do, he visited us to see exactly what needed doing, asked a few simple questions, and then sent us an estimate, by email.

A few days later he arrived on the pre arranged day, on time, and with everything he needed to plaster and then paint one of our bedrooms. He was most attentive to everything that concerned us, especially the amount of dust and dirt that was likely. He worked hard to contain everything that regard and we couldn’t have veen more pleased with the work that he did. It was first class, both in terms of quality and appearance. He would also let us know exactly when he would next be coming to work. If a problem arose, he would always phone us, so he never left us hanging and wondering whay had happened. He worked quickly, quietly and steadily every day for a week, frequently inviting me to pop in to look at his work to see if there was anything he was doing that we didn’t understand or needed done differently. There never was such a situation and we were most impressed by his attention to detail and his skill at the work he did.

We would recommend John very highly, and his final bill was exactly the same as the estimate that he gave us before we hired him. If we need any other work to be done in our around our home we know exactly who to call.

My husband and I recently hired John Brzoza of Tones and Hues Painting to remove old wallpaper and then paint one of our bedrooms. After our initial phone call, John was here to give us a quote in just one day. He was very pleasant, removed his shoes when he came in and explained how he would take down the wallpaper and how long the job would take. Two days later he emailed our quote and we were quite pleased.

John Brzoza did a terrific job on several rooms of a house we bought with my daughter and her family! We needed lead abatement, painting and floor sanding done and it was time sensitive because cold weather was coming and they needed to move in. The house was in pretty rough shape and John’s excellent work improved the downstairs beyond what we expected!

John was able to fit the job in around another one he was finishing. We are all super happy with the quality of his work, and the fact that he really made the effort to get it done on time. He is very attentive to detail and the rooms he worked on are just beautiful in an old house that still needs a lot of work! We used Tones & Hues Painting this summer to power wash, paint and stain our Solitude Village home on Okemo Mountain. John Brzoza did a great job! Jay Brzoza has done painting and staining at my house in Andover at least three times, and I can recommend his high-quality work to others without reservation.

This summer we scheduled John for our third project with him; to stain our garage barn.  One of the many things we like about working with John is the care and professionalism that he brings to each project.   He completely removed the old, faded finish by power washing and applied the new siding and trim stains.  The doors, windows, and even exposed foundation had all been carefully taped and protected so that the finished project was crisp, clean new barn.  Additionally, since we often rent our property to guests, we had some schedule challenges, which John was able to accommodate for us.  Any time John was not on-site and before the project was finished, all equipment and materials were stowed away and the site was safe and tidy.  We will certainly be working with John again in the future.

It has been a pleasure having “Tones and Hues” take on several projects around our home over the years, from scraping and painting the outside of our house to removing wallpaper, skim coating walls/ceilings, and painting rooms on the inside.
